This lay Catholic organization is open to all Catholic men. We support various parish activities promoting fellowship. The Knights of Columbus was formed in 1882 by Fr. Michael J. McGivney to assist in providing financial aid to members and their families. The cause for sainthood of Fr. McGivney is now under way.
Our council at Walsingham is proud to help support our seminarians as well as our parish, local, state, and national communities through our fundraising and volunteer activities.
We sponsor several parish activities including fish fries and soup suppers during Lent, Spaghetti Dinners, BBQ smoke-outs, our Octoberfest food tent during OLW’s Fall Fest as well as a festive “Three Ships Pub” (named after Columbus’ fleet) at many of our parish social events.
