Confirmation and First Communion Information

Our Sacrament Preparation courses are held at the same time as the rest of the CCD program, on Sunday mornings, 9:45am-10:45am, from September through May. You can register online here.
Simply check the box that your child is ready for First Communion or Confirmation, and we'll make sure they are assigned accordingly.
FIRST COMMUNION:
Children must be seven years old to receive the Blessed Sacrament. A child may begin preparation at six years of age, but only those who are seven by the date of First Communion will be able to receive. All others will receive their sacrament once they turn seven years old. A copy of the Birth Certificate and a copy of the Baptismal Certificate are required.
REQUIRED PAPERWORK:
- BIRTH CERTIFICATE
- BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE
- COMPLETED PARISH SACRAMENTAL REGISTER FORM (in documents section below)
CONFIRMATION:
Children must be at least twelve years old to receive Confirmation at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham. Children entering 6th grade may begin preparing for Confirmation. A copy of the Birth Certificate, as well as Baptismal and First Communion Certificates are required.REQUIRED PAPERWORK:
